Weevz operates as a personality matching app based in the United Kingdom. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The Data We Collect
- Identity Data: display name, avatar images, mind profile archetype
- Contact Data: email address
- Profile Data: AI chat history, mind profile information, trait scores, match preferences, and distilled Mind Profile memories
- Audio Data: if you choose to use voice features in AI chat or live voice conversations, we may process voice recordings, transcripts, AI-generated audio replies, and related technical metadata needed to deliver those features
- Purchase Data: subscription and purchase-related status needed to provide paid features
- Consent and Device Data: app version and user agent when required consents are recorded
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests, and to comply with legal obligations.
AI and Voice Processing: We use service providers to help power AI-assisted features, including Mind Profile creation, matching, voice transcription, and AI-generated voice replies. If you use voice chat, your voice input may be processed to create transcripts and generate responses. Assistant voice replies, transcripts, and related metadata may be stored so they can be played back as part of your chat history and to support feature reliability and service improvement.
We may also derive and store distilled Mind Profile memories from your chats so your profile and matching experience remain coherent over time. These memories are viewable and individually deletable in your Mind Profile.
We do not sell your personal data, including voice or audio data. We use this data only to operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Weevz user experience, and we may share it only with processors who help us provide Weevz, subject to contractual and security safeguards.
Data Security
We use access controls and encryption in transit and at rest to protect your data.
Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary. Individual chats can be removed from your visible history in the app. Distilled Mind Profile memories can be individually deleted in your Mind Profile. Deleting your account erases your data.
Your Legal Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access, correct, erase, object to processing, restrict processing, transfer your data, and withdraw consent at any time.
